Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket radio in various Volkswagen cars with new (2015 onwards) style quadlock connection. 

This is to replace original Composition or Discover radios.

This is for a new style (2015 onwards) Quadlock connector used on select VW vehicles. This can be identified by the 2 larger pins in the corner of the connector

Fascia Adaptor

This adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.

This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation.

Steering Control Adaptor

A stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit. 

The CANBus interface and radio adapter cable, it is used to connect an aftermarket stereo upgrade and retain the use of the volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons from the steering wheel with the new radio. The CANBus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs signals to the new stereo. 

Aerial Adaptor

An Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.  

Double moulded Fakra Aerial adapter cable for European cars that have amplified original antennas. Use with cars that have twin antenna both requiring power.

Universal Patch Lead

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 49 series steering wheel control interfaces. Use for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.

FOR UNBRANDED/ CHINESE HEAD UNITS YOU WILL REQUIRE A DEDICATED 49-000 PATCH LEAD 

This fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen original head units fitted with the newer quadlock and a double Fakra connection, Please see pictures below.

That some vehicles have original DAB. This is not retained with this kit and will require 21-037 Fakra to SMB adapter.

This kit also does not retain original reverse cameras or USB and AUX ports. Please see the other items listed against your car and original head unit to see if these are available as they vary by model and originally fitted radio.

Not suitable for original amplified systems (Dynaudio, Fender)

Important Fascia Notes

• The fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units. 
• China units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.
• We do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.
